I went for a dive at Magic Point off Maroubra on Saturday. This dive site is famous for its shark caves usually packed with Grey Nurse sharks. The visibility wasn't brilliant and we didn't see any of the magic sharks, though I spotted a Port Jackson in a hole, some moray eels. However as we were coming back to the boat: Mola Mola!
Many hardcore divers go their entire lives without seeing one of these and we got a bunch of time to hang around and observe. It was just chillin' with lots of little fish picking bits off it. There was one spotted at Cabbage Tree Bay earlier in the week so there's a good chance it's the same one.
My camera didn't get great footage but one of the other divers shared this. Incredible!
